Your cell phone has a pre-recorded message, a voicemail that appears the moment you turn it on for the first time. The voice is a man's. He sounds exhausted, almost monotone.

I'm sorry. If you are listening to this, you're starting on the first day of what may be an increasingly uphill climb. You are in an alternate dimension. No, you cannot go home. Yes, I am sorry. I have been trying for years now, but this point is in flux and none of the conventional methods of dimensional reconstruction have worked. I've tried them. I've tried even some of the more unconventional methods, and---[ he sighs audibly ]---for now, all I can give you is my understanding, my sympathy, and a nudge in the right direction. Trust people. Work together. Even if you do not want to trust any of the people here, ingroup favoritism is against you.

They don't like us. And, frankly, I don't blame them. This is...partially...[ the line goes dead for a few seconds; there is a high note of an alarm in the background]---dammit. I---I haven't got much time to wrap this up. Take the stipend they give you. You'll need it. There are motel rooms, good people here who understand that it isn't your fault---use the resources that you're given and get on your feet as best you can.

Huzzah! He'll certainly try, but the whole "has wings and nearly indestructible" thing will be an issue. But that's where his wire traps come in handy.

Warren is a multi-billionaire used to having everyone ELSE do everything for him. The idea of him cleaning and trying to share space without a maid being around is only bound to lead to hideous shenanigans

That's what I figured. Yuugao may not want to face off with Warren in a one-on-one match, but he can make his life miserable. Exploding toilets, paint buckets dropping from random places, getting shocked when you turn on a light switch....you name it, he's capable of it.
